PRIZE BABY IN THE ORIGINAL BOX

How many times are we lucky enough to find the original, labeled box with the labeled all bisque doll inside? Not many!!!! This bebe (and her box) carry the paper label "Prize Baby, made in Germany".  She is 5 1/4" tall (5 1/2" with her wig on) and is incised with the mold number 208 3.  These numbers are also found on every limb so we know the arms and legs are original to the doll.  Her wig is original and is brown mohair. Her eyes are brown and they sleep.

Excellent condition, free from hairlines, cracks, repairs; there is only one stray eyelash that was painted a little lower than the rest.

A superb example of  an all original, all bisque doll for your collection.   $450.00

A PAIR OF FRENCH GLASS EYED, SWIVEL NECK, ALL BISQUE DOLLS
Wow!  These are rare!  Not just one, but two, French all- bisques in matching original clothing. Their glass eyes are blue, their mouths are closed and their heads swivel in kid lined sockets. Both have the characteristic long, slender arms and legs.  He has black heeled shoes with two straps....hers are blue.  Their bodies are strung using tiny wooden pegs at each arm and leg.  Original and matching, their raspberry silk clothing is trimmed with a brown lace trim.
Excellent condition, they are free from chips, cracks, hairlines, and restorations. 3 5/8" tall.  The 14th Blue Book price for just one doll is well over $1000,  with an additional amount if the doll is wearing original clothing.  This adorable pair is priced less.  Click photo to enlarge the image. Click here to see back view, close-up of faces. $1795. for the two dolls.
EARLY WRESTLER TYPE
She is a charmer. An early all bisque with beautifully and finely painted features and a bald head. Her face is round and her body is chunky and well modeled  with molded and painted heeled boots and socks. I would date her  circa 1890.  Unfortunately, she does have a few problems.  She has been glued at the neck and there is damage to one upper arm. There is a flake on the inside of the hand on the curved arm that you have to look for to find it.  When clothed, these imperfections would not be noticeable.
I love her.  If she doesn't sell, I will be happy to keep her! Height 5". Click on photo to enlarge it . View from the back.  $245.
