FRENCH BEBE DRESS CIRCA 1890
It's a charming dress found on my last trip to France. It is made from a soft red and cream stripe cotton with lace trim and lace insertion. There is the characteristic fullness or "poof" below the bosom that was in style during the 1890's and the puff sleeve with ruffle trim was also fashionable at that time. Tiny buttons close the back of the dress. Length is 9"-9 3/8", waist measurement is 8". Excellent condition. It seems as if the sizing is still in the fabric - as if it has never been used. FRENCH BOY'S OUTFIT -BRU ?
It was found in France in a box along with size 1 Bru shoes. Was it made for a Bru? It certainly is elaborate enough to dress a Bru boy doll. The outfit consists of knicker length brown wool pants attached to a lace trimmed bodice. A matching brown wool jacket, belt of the same fabric and blue silk cravat complete the look. A "Little Lord Fauntleroy" lace collar and soutache braid embellish the suit. I would date this outfit as late 19th c. and there are a few moth holes in the wool. Height is approximately 7".

FRENCH BEBE CORSET
These were made for French bebe dolls, not French fashion dolls....a common misconception. This one would fit a rather good size Jumeau bebe, maybe size 10. It is made from cotton and has nice detailing including buttons that were used to attach the corset to the bloomers. Excellent condition. Approximately 13 1/2" waist measurement
Great to put in the trunk of your favorite French child.

Similar corset shown on a French bebe. SOLD
