'FLOWER GARDEN WITH GARDEN PATHS'
    An outstanding, pristine condition, doll or crib quilt that measures 20 1/2" X 29 1/2". Finely constructed, multicolor Grandmother's Flower Garden blocks are set in a green ground. Green diamond shapes between the flower blocks create the "Paths" in this pattern.

CIRCA 1890 CIRCUS THEME CRIB QUILT
What a fun piece! It would be a terrific baby gift that the recipient could hang on the wall in the nursery and build a room around it. The quilt is composed of a large center block that depicts a tan colored elephant in front of the "Big Top". He is hand-embroidered in black, red and tan.   Surrounding the center block are blocks of circus animals....a seal balancing a ball on his nose, a leaping horse, a drumming bear , etc. ... in red hand-embroidery. A red fabric grid system separates and surrounds the animal blocks. It is a summer quilt and therefore there is no batting.
Measuring 47" x 57", it is in excellent condition. There is some overall age yellowing and a few deep age spots. There is light fading of the red grid located below the elephant block, but it is unobtrusive.

PALMER COX BROWNIES CRIB QUILT
A most unusual and artistic crib quilt. A one-of-a-kind piece that was made by the grandmother of the elderly woman I bought it from. She was a painter and she made this by using india ink. The center design is a polar bear coming out of the sea surrounded by Palmer Cox Brownies. More Brownies form a border that frames the center design.
A delightful treasure for the collector of either crib quilts or Palmer Cox Brownies.
Quilt measures 41" x 51". It is in very good condition. There is one tiny nick in the binding. There are two light brown stains which I have not tried to remove.
