MID-19TH C. SHOES
These are wonderful shoes.  I don't know if they were made in France or Germany or America, and frankly, for me, it doesn't matter.  They are made from a deep brown leather and they still have their original brass buckle and leather toe decorations.  A pretty scalloped edge further decorates.  At the rear of these shoes are two small holes where one could string a ribbon through and tie at the ankle ( They would also work nicely as a slipper style without using the ribbon ties.)  They are perfect for a china or papier-mache.  Appropriate for an early fashion doll, either French or German.  A great pair of shoes to have on hand for any good, mid-19th c. doll that may come along (A Cinderella doll).  2" long and 5/8" wide. Click on photo to enlarge it.  Fronts Soles. .  $225. SOLD
CIRCA 1860-1870 HEELED SHOES
A beautifully made pair of early shoes with heels.  Made from a fine red leather, the soles are incised " #4 Germany". The high heels are made from a hard material (wood?) and they have a lovely decorative design incised into the top of the heel.
These wonderful shoes are over 130 years old and they are in excellent condition.  They would be perfect for an early paper-mache, china,  parian or German fashion.
Size: 2 3/4" long x 7/8" wide. $225.

CIRCA 1860-70 HEELED SHOES
This pair is made from a beautiful blue leather. They have the same heel as the red pair and the same finely made sole.  This pair is larger and incised with the number 5.
Excellent condition, just normal wear that one finds on a pair of shoes that are over 130 years old.
Size: 3 1/4" long x 1" - 1 1/8" wide.  $255.
