FRENCH STRAW HAT
Found on a recent trip to France, I date it circa 1890-1910.  It is made from a very fine straw that has mellowed to a beautiful, soft caramel color.  The edge has an unusual narrow banding in black velvet and there is a wide matching black velvet band that forms a tail at the back of the hat.  It would look great on any doll!  A French fashion doll could wear this hat or a French Bebe would look charming sporting this "chapeau". 4" in diameter, it is in beautiful, perfect condition.  Click on photo to enlarge it.  Another view.  $265.
FRENCH  'AU PRINTEMPS'  HATBOX
This hatbox is a good size to display next to a French bebe, such as a Jumeau or Steiner, etc. The covering on the box is paper that is hand painted with lilies of the valley. Inside the lid of the box is the label, "Au Printemps" which is the name of a famous department store in Paris that is still in existence. It is in good condition with only minor surface imperfections.  Size: 6" in diameter and 4 1/2" in height.

FRENCH  MINIATURE HATBOX
I guess this is really an English miniature hatbox.  The English firm, Gelot, had a  store at Place Vendome in Paris, an area known for prestigious shopping. It is made from paper covered cardboard and is oval in shape.  The height is 2 1/2", the width is 4" and the length is 4 1/2". A perfect size to sit in the lap of your favorite French doll.
