FANTASTIC FRENCH STRAW HAT

Purchased on a recent buying trip to France, this wonderful hat has it's original French label that reads, "Chapeaux de Paille, Paris" (hat of straw). Perfect for a rather large Jumeau doll, this two tone straw hat has the finest straw I've ever seen ! Deep apricot colored straw sewn next to natural straw creates a lovely visual pattern.  Additionally decorated with ribbon and feather plumes,  ribbons were added to tie the hat under the chin.

Outstanding, unused condition.....clean and fresh looking. Hat is approximately 2 1/2" deep and 6" wide.

FINE STRAW 19TH C. DOLL HAT WITH IT'S OWN HAT BOX

Perfect for that special French Bebe or Large French Fashion Doll, this superb find is brought to you direct from Paris, France.  It is a fine, natural straw that has pleasantly mellowed with age.  It is 19th.c. construction, with a fine cotton lining inside the crown and narrow tape ties that can be used to tie this hat under the chin of your favorite doll.   The top of the hat is decorated with silk ribbon and fabric flowers.

Oval in shape, this hat measures 6" long and 5 3/8" in width.  It is in outstanding, original condition, having been stored in it's own cardboard hatbox measuring  3" high and 6" in diameter.  The hatbox is in excellent condition, too.

A rare find to add to your doll's trousseau.

SUPERB WOVEN STRAW BONNET

Fine braided straw strands are woven together to produce an incredible French straw bonnet.  The straw has now mellowed to a beautiful golden brown shade.  It is in outstanding condition, with no breaks in the straw.....amazing!.  Height is 7"at the peak, depth is 5-5 1/2".

The interior of the hat has a wire frame that could be used to support a lining, if you would like to line the hat with silk.  One could also remove the frame and use the hat without it.

Wouldn't your large Jumeau doll look gorgeous in this great bonnet ?
