EXQUISITELY MADE 19TH C. APPLIQUE BLOCKS IN TEAL BLUE AND RED
What a beautiful quilt these blocks would make! I can see them with a red and teal blue print sashing or a solid teal blue or red sashing would be striking as well. The workmanship is outstanding. The stitches are an incredible 12-15 per inch! I would date them as circa 1860. The blocks are a very large 20" square. There are 9 of them....enough to make a beautiful quilt. They are in excellent , unused condition.

An opportunity to acquire unused blocks that are 140 years old with exquisite workmanship. $225.

36 EARLY CIRCA 1820-40 STAR BLOCKS
Lovely early blocks that utilize a print that incorporates blue and yellow in the tiny overall floral design on the red ground. The red print stars are set in white (now off-white). With sashing, it is an amount sufficient to make a quilt.

Size: 9 1/2" x 9 1/2"

Condition: Excellent condition. A few trunk storage rust marks on the off-white fabric. Red print fabric is strong and free from rips, tears, repairs, fading.

An opportunity to purchase early 150 year old blocks in remarkable condition. $275. (less than $10 per block).
